Given line equation 2x+5y = -10

To find x intercept substitute y = 0 in line equation.

2x = -10

Divide to each side by 2.

2x/2 = -10/2

x = -5

To find y intercept substitute x = 0 in line equation.

5y = -10

Divide to each side by 5.

5y/5 = -10/5

y = -2

x intercept is -5 and y intercept is -2.
