Given parabola y = -5x^2-3x-2

Compare it standard parabola form y = ax^2+bx+c

a = -5, b = -3, c = -2.

Axis of symmetry x = -b/2a = 3/-10

x = -3/10

To find vertex substitute x value in given equation.

y = -5(-3/10)^2-3(-3/10)-2

y = -5(9/100)+9/10-2

y = -9/20+9/10-2

y = (-9+18-40)/20

y = -31/20

Vertex of parabola = (-3/10,-31/20) = (-0.3,-1.55)
