Write the equation in slope-intercept form y = mx + b, where m is slope and b is y-intercept.

The equation is 8 - (1/5)y = 4x

Subtract 8 from each side.

-(1/5)y = 4x-8

Multiply -5 to each side.

y = -20x+40.

Compare the equation with slope-intercept form y = mx + b.

Slope = -20 and y-intercept is 40.
