Here base means diameter of semicircle (d ) = 14mm.

d = 2r r = d/2 r = d/2 = 14/2 = 7 mm.

Area of a semicircle (A ) = πr 2/2.

Substitute the values  π = 3.14 and r  = 7.

A = (3.14)(7) 2/2

    = 3.14 * 49 / 2

    = 76.93.

Therefore, area of a semicircle is 76.93 mm ^2.
