(a). 2/3 + 3/4

L.C.M of 3, 4 is 12.

= [((2 * 4) + (3 * 3)] / 12

= [8 + 9] / 12

= 17 / 12.

(b). (3/5 + 4/7) + 2/5

L.C.M of 5, 7 is 35.

= [(3 * 7) + (4 * 5)] / 35 + 2/5

= [21 + 20] / 35 + 2/5

= (41/35) + 2/5

L.C.M of 35, 5 is 35.

= (41 + (2 * 7)) / 35

= (41 + 14) / 35

= 55/35

= 11/7.

(c). 5/6 + 5/8

L.C.M of 6, 8 is 24.

= [(5 * 4) + (5 * 3)] / 24

= [20 + 15] / 24

= 35 / 24.
