Given equation y = x^2+4x-7

Compare it standard form of parabola is y ax^2+bx+c

a = 1, b = 4, c = -7

Axis of symmetry is x = -b/2a

x = -4/2*1

Axis of symmetry is x = -2

To find coordinate pairs substitute x = 0,1,-1 in above equation.

Then the the points are (0,-7), (1,-2), (-1,-10).

Graph of given parabola

Draw a coordinate plane.

Plot the above ponts.

Draw nicely smooth curving line neatly through the plotted points.

Then the formed curve is given parabola.
