The equation is 1/4(x-7)+5=7/8x

Eliminate the fractions by mutiplying each side by least common denominator of 1/4 nad 7/8

Least Common Multipe of 4 and 8:

Multipes of 4: 4, 8, 12, 16, etc

Multiples of 8:  8, 16, 24, etc

least common multipe of 4 and 8 is 8. Multiply eah side by 8.

8* (1/4(x-7)+5)=7/8x * 8

2(x-7)+40 = 7x

2x - 14 + 40 = 7x

5x = 26

Divide each side by 5

x = 26/5
