Width of rectangle = x

length of rectangle = x+6

Perimeter of rectangle 2(l +b) = 36

2(x+6+x) = 36

2(2x+6) = 36

4x+12 = 36

4x = 36-12

4x = 24

x = 24/4

x = 6

Width of rectangle = 6 yards

length of rectangle = 6+6 = 12 yards

Area of rectangle = l *b = 12*6 = 72 squre yards
