The equation is 2x - 5 = 3 * (x - 5).

Apply distributive property : a( b - c ) = ab - ac .

2x - 5 = 3x - 15

2x - 3x = - 15 + 5

- x = - 10

⇒ x = 10.

Therefore, the solution of the equation is x = 10.
