Point-slope form: point(x₁, y₁) slope m then the equation of line: y-y₁=m(x-x₁)

point(-2,-7) slope -5 then the equation of line

y-(-7)= -5(x-(-2))

y+7=-5(x+2)

y+7=-5x - 10

Add 5x to each side.

5x+y+7= -10

Subtract 7 from each side..

5x + y= -17.
