Hence,

Substitute the point (x, y) = (2, 7) and m  =  3  in Eq (1) and find c

7  =  3(2) + c

7  =  6 + c

c  =  7 - 6

c  =  1

Substitute c = 1 and m = 3 in Eq (1)

y  =  3x + 1
