2 equations for. A rectangle that lenght is 2cm more then width the perimeter is 68cm find the length and width.

Let width of rectangle (b)  = x

Length of rectangle (l) = x+2

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

2(x+x+2) = 68

2(2x+2) = 68

4x+4 = 68

4x = 64

x = 64/4 = 16

x+2 = 16+2 = 18

l = 18cm and b = 16cm.
