Given lines are 4x-3y+12 = 0

4x-3y-18 = 0

Compare the above two parallel lines ax+by+c1 = 0 and ax+by+c2 = 0

a = 4,  b = -3, c1 = 12, c2 = -18

Distance between the lines be form a perpendicular segment.

Formula is |c2-c1|/sqrt(a^2+b^2)

= |-18-12|/sqrt(16+9)

= |-30|/sqrt(25)

= 30/5

= 6
