Given that

Slope = -5 and y-intercept = 2/3.

The slope-intercept form y = mx + b, where m is slope and b is y-intercept.

Substitute m = -5 and b = 2/3

y = - 5x + 2/3

Slope = -5 and y-intercept = 2/3.

y-intercept is 2/3, so the line crosses the y-axis at (0, 2/3)

Using slope find the next point.

Slope = rise/run = -5/1

Start at point (0, 2/3), move 5 unit down and 1 unit right, then plot the point (2/3, -2.4).

Draw a line through these points.

Graph :

graph for the equation - x - 2y = 8

Standard form of a line ax + by + c = 0

The line y = - 5x + 2/3

5x + y = 2/3

15x + 3y = 2.
