The equation

y + 1   =   (2/3)(x + 6)

3(y + 1)   =   2(x + 6)

3y + 3   =   2x + 12

2x + 12 - 3y - 3 = 0

2x - 3y + 9   =   0

2x - 3y  =  - 9
