i need to know the slope of y+2x=-5.

Slope intercept equation is y  = mx + b.

Here m represents slope and b is intercept of y.

Given line y +2 = -5

Subtract 2x  from each side.

y + 2x - 2x  = -2x - 5

y  = -2x - 5

Slope = -2.
