Given equation is 4x - 7y = 49

Subtract 4x From each side.

4x - 4x - 7y = 49 - 4x

- 7y = 49 - 4x

Divide by  negitive 7 to each side.

- 7y/ - 7 = (49 - 4x)/ - 7

y = - 49/7 + 4x/7

y = - 7 + 4x/7

y = (4/7)x - 7.

Compare it to slope intercept form y = mx + b.

m = 4/7 and y intercept is -7.
