The x intercept of the line is 2.

So the line crosses the x - axis at (2, 0)

Required line passes through (4, 3) and (2, 0)

Slope-intercept form line equation is y = mx + b, where m is slope and b is y-intercept.

Let the points are (x₁, y₁) = (4, 3) and (x₂, y₂) = (2, 0).

Slope (m) = [(y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ -x₁)]

m = [(0 - 3)/(2 - 4)]

m  = [-3/-2]

m = 3/2.

Now, the line equation is y = (3/2)x + b.

Find the y - intercept by substituting any point in the line equation say (x, y) = (4, 3).

3 = (3/2)(4) + b

b = 3 - 6

b = - 3.

The line equation in slope - intercept - form is y = (3/2)x - 3.

Y - intercept is - 3.
